FREE transport this weekend through Pilots N Paws this weekend Saturday 9/29/12 flying into Caldwell NJ and Hartford CT. Pilots N Paws have over 80 pilots volunteering their talents by flying animals to the safety of rescue. Commitments for this are needed ASAP as the planes fill up fast!!
Ground transport may also run from Henderson, NC to NJ if necessary.
The following dogs and cats are located at the Vance County Animal Shelter in Henderson, NC. Many have sponsorship money!

Waylon is a Shih Tzu Mix, Adult, Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less. Waylon is up to date with shots. Poor Waylan, 9-year-old Male Shitzu, was dumped at the shelter wearing an e-collar and a note saying someone found him. He had an awful gash on his leg all the way to his bone that required surgery. PLEASE HELP US COVER WAYLON'S VET BILL! Waylon is so sweet and loving. 
Savannah is a Labrador Retriever Mix, Brown/Chocolate, 5 to 7 years old, 26-60 lbs, Female. Savannah is a special needs pet and up to date with shots. Poor Savannah has had a rough life. She was brought in from an abuse case and has been being treated by the vet and loving foster parents. Savannah has been suffering from demododic mange and heart ache. She is being treated but coming around slowly. Savannah's coat is not coming in very quickly and will need some where, where she can stay inside when the weather get colder. Susan & Susie (F, Lab Mix, approx 1-2 years old, 40 – 50 lbs) are very bonded; the owner brought them to the shelter. We don’t understand why, they gorgeous and will make great pets. Susan & Susie are scared because they have no idea why they here.
Amber (F, Hound Mix, approx. 1 – 2 yrs old, 35 lbs) POSSIBLY PREGNANT, she was picked up as a stray. Amber is joy to be around, she loves being around people. Amber seems to be pregnant
Arlo (M, Pitbull, approx. 2 yrs, 35 lbs) was surrendered by his owner. Arlo is very friendly with people, all he wants is to have a new home. Arlo can go to OUT OF STATE RESCUE ONLY.
Jackie (F, Pitbull, approx. 2-3 yrs old, 35 lbs) has a skin condition and the vet is coming tomorrow to check her out. Jackie is great with people, she can go to OUT OF STATE RESCUE ONLY.
Ringo is a Pit Bull Terrier Mix, brindle, adult male. He is between 26-60 lbs. He is up to date with shots. Ringo was surrendered by his owner. Ringo had a lot flea and ticks when he came in and got treated for them. Ringo is great with people and likes the dogs in the kennel next to him. Ringo can go to OUT OF STATE RESCUE ONLY.
Diesel is a male boxer mix, White - With Tan, Yellow/ Fawn, Adult Size: Large 61-100 lbs. Diesel is up to date with shots. Diesel was surrendered by his owner. Diesel is great with people, seems to be okay with other dogs.
Mia (F, Lab Mix, approx. 2 yrs, 35 lbs) was brought in by her owner. We don't understand why; Mia is a loving girl that enjoys being around people and is also good with other dogs.
Mike (M, Pit Mix, approx. 1-2 yrs old, 35 lbs) came in as a stray, he was wearing a collar that was embedded in his neck. Mike has been to the vet to get the collar removed and is getting medication to heal. Mike is a great with people and deserves so much to find a loving home. Mike can go to OUT OF STATE RESCUE ONLY.
Nixie (F, Lab Mix, approx. 2 yrs old, 45 lbs) was surrendered by her owner with Noir. They both are dog and people friendly

Tony (M, Pitbull, approx. 1 yr old, 25 – 30 lbs) has been at the shelter for some time, because he was very skinny when he got there. Tony love being around people and is very playful. Tony can go to OUT OF STATE RESCUE ONLY.
Sandy is a precious female golden retreiver mix who, with her sister, took up at a house where the family was just moving in. They could not keep her (and her sibling) as they have 5 dogs of their own. They say Sandy is very sweet and must have belonged to someone at some time. 
Maggie is a Pit Bull Terrier Mix, 4 years old, 26-60 lbs, Female. Maggie is up to date with shots. Maggie is as beautiful as she is kind. She is well trained and has always been taught to love. Maggie and Star are good friends. Maggie also has a severe flea problem. Please help this sweet girl. Her back also has an injury from scratching so bad it's also being treated.
