Approximately 30 dogs/puppies and 70 cats/kittens are gassed and killed a WEEK at this shelter. Middle Mutts is working tirelessly to make a difference. The only way they can do that is by people sharing, networking, reaching out to shelters and donating to chip-ins to help find rescues pay for pull fees, vetting and transportation. Transport is available along 95 to NY/NJ! You do not have to be local to adopt!
Chip-ins/Sponsorship: For each animal Middle Mutts posts, a chipin is
added to their profile to raise funds toward their
rescue/vetting/transport. These funds transfer with the animal and go to
the approved rescue less any expenses incurred while in the shelter or
en route to the rescue including but not limited to: medical care,
heartworm testing, boarding incurred if animal fails health cert or
cannot make transport etc. Middle Mutts is 100% volunteer so all funds raised are applied to the cost of saving lives. In the event that Middle Mutts
raises funds for an animal and are unable to find rescue, the funds
raised will transfer to another animal selected by Middle Mutts. Middle Mutts is
happy to provide details on where your donation was applied in the

Rescues Needed! Shelter Dogs and Cats to be Killed Today!
Hobo and his sister, Patty, were found in an apartment in Salisbury abandoned. Patty had been left with a head injury. Patty and Hobo had been blocked in the kitchen with an old couch and the owners moved out leaving the two pups behind. We are sure the pups had been there several days before they were found.
Today, they are doing well. Patty and Hobo have both been fixed and vaccinated. They are on Comfortis monthly flea prevention and Ivomec monthly for HW prevention. Hobo is loving and full of energy. He has wonderful focus on his handler and is very treat motivated. He walks ok on a leash and is learning basic obedience. Hobo is crate trained but is still learning to settle down at times. He does sleep in a crate every night indoors. Hobo is approximately 5 months old and looks like a Bully/Lab mix.

Tigra, age between 1 and 2.Super loving,super sweet. Needs a little extra
training. LOVES kids and other dogs. She is a Greyhound mix so no cats
or small mammals. Very gentle. Loves to walk and jog with you. Gives
lots of kisses. Loves to run in between your legs and sit on your feet.

Angel is a 5 year old, min pin/chi mix. She is fixed, up

heart worm prevention. She is house broken and loves to go for walks.
Super sweet. Weighs about 11 pounds. She is great around older kids

Belle was dumped at the shelter a couple months ago and
somebody offered to foster her until a home/rescue could be found. She
was dumped at the shelter again because she didn't find a home fast
enough. She is up to date on shots and have been told she is spayed. Her
